It's time for Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy) to get married and he doesn't want to marry just any woman. He wants someone who will stimulate his mind as well as his heart so he decides to come to America to find his bride.

Prince Akeem is accompanied by his close and loyal companion Seemi (Arsenio Hall) who really isn't interested in the very modest lifestyle that the prince wants to live in order to hide his true identity.

The laughs are nonstop with this famous comedy duo in this classic film!

•  "Coming to America" was the first movie where Eddie Murphy played multiple roles. (He would later go on to do the same thing in the movie "The Nutty Professor.") In "Coming to America", Eddie Murphy not only plays Prince Akeem but also Clarence, Randy Watson, Saul and Sanyu. 

• Not to be outdone, Arsenio Hall also plays multiple roles in this movie.  He is Seemi, Morris, Rev. Brow and the Ugly Girl in the bar scene.
