If you've got a problem and no one else can help you, you need "Trouble Man."

"Mr. T" (Robert Hooks) is a snazzy dressing Los Angeles private investigator who keeps his office in a pool hall.
Whenever anyone has a problem that they can't get fixed anywhere else, they call on "Mr. T."

One day, two floating dice game operators - Chalky (Paul Winfield) and Pete (Ralph Waite) - ask "Mr. T" to help
them find out who is behind the holdups at their games. Mr. T agrees, but only after extracting a large payment
for his services.

It turns out, though, that Chalky and Pete have set Mr. T. up to take the fall for a plan that they have to bring
down rival crime kingpin Big (Julius Harris). Now, Mr. T finds himself in the middle of a bloody crime war and he
intends to settle the score.

• "Trouble Man" was written by John D. F. Black who also wrote "Shaft." (A Top 100 Black Classic Movie.) This
is one of the reasons why many critics believe that the storyline for "Trouble Man" is similar to the storyline
for the movie "Shaft."

• Marvin Gaye made the soundtrack for "Trouble Man." He wrote, composed and produced all the music.
"Trouble Man" was the only movie soundtrack made by Marvin Gaye. However, the music on the "Trouble Man"
soundtrack is slightly different from the music in the movie. The story is that Marvin Gaye was not happy with
how the music in the movie sounded, so he decided to change it when he made the soundtrack. We don't know if this
is true, but it does fit with Marvin Gaye's personality, so it is quite plausible.

• Ivan Dixon, who stars in the highly-acclaimed movie "Nothing But a Man", directed the movie "Trouble Man." He also
was the director for "The Spook Who Sat by the Door" which was a controversial movie in the 1970s.
