Movie Summary

"Tales from the Hood" is a Black urban horror movie containing four different short stories.

Clarence Williams III stars as Mr. Simms, the owner of a funeral home. After three street thugs invade his funeral parlor looking for a stash of drugs, Mr. Simms treats them to a series of horror stories with an African-American focus.

• African-American director Spike Lee, was the Executive Producer for this movie.

• The director of "Tales from the Hood", Rusty Cundieff appeared as "Big Brother Chucky" in the Spike Lee movie "School Daze." Rusty Cundieff also appears in "Tales from the Hood" as Richard, the teacher in the second story of the movie.

• Rusty Cundieff not only directed "Tales from the Hood" but also he co-wrote the screenplay with Darin Scott.
