Movie Summary
"The Preacher's Wife" stars Denzel Washington, Whitney Houston and Courtney B. Vance in a heartwarming holiday drama about a preacher, his wife and an angel sent to help them.
Reverend Henry Biggs (Courtney B. Vance) is a hardworking minister in a poor section of town. His church is facing severe financial problems and the social problems in the community are becoming overwhelming. As the problems grow, Biggs works longer hours which also causes him to neglect his wife, Julia (Whitney Houston) and son Jeremiah (Justin Pierre Edmund).
Rev. Biggs prays for help from God and he gets it - in the form of an angel named Dudley (Denzel Washington).
Dudley is a rookie angel sent down from heaven to help the church through its crisis and the Reverend's family. But as Dudley tries to help the Reverend, he also starts to fall in love with the Reverend's beautiful wife, Julia.
A warm, holiday treat, "The Preacher's Wife" is a film about regaining lost faith and the power of love.
