Movie Summary
"Our Friend, Martin" is a cartoon video (with actual historical footage) about the life of
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., that was made in collaboration with his family.
When a teenager finds out that his class is going to take a field trip to the Dr. Martin Luther King museum,
he really doesn't want to go. But his visit turns into an amazing adventure when he and his friend are transported
back in time to key points in Dr. King's life. Consequently, the teenager learns firsthand about the historical
importance and significance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Some of the voices that make up the all-star voice cast for "Our Friend Martin" are Angela Bassett,
LeVar Burton, Danny Glover, Oprah Winfrey and Whoopi Goldberg. Also, two of Dr. King's children,
Dexter King and Yolanda King are voice performers in the movie, too.
