"Last Holiday" stars Queen Latifah and LL Cool J in a funny, holiday movie.
Georgia Byrd (Queen Latifah) is a very shy sales clerk who works in the cookware department of an upscale department store in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has two big secrets. She is romantically interested in fellow co-worker, Sean Matthews (LL Cool J) and she is a gourmet cook at home.
Every night, Georgia goes home and indulges in her love of food by preparing gourmet meals. But since she is on a diet, she doesn't eat her creations. Instead she photographs them. Georgia's dream is to one day meet her favorite gourmet cook, Chef Didier (Gerard Depardieu).
One day, Georgia's life is suddenly turned upside-down when she is diagnosed with a fatal brain virus. The doctor gives her only weeks to live. Since this Christmas might be her "Last Holiday," Georgia decides to take her savings and go spend the holiday in style at a luxurious European ski resort where the famous Chef Depardieu makes his creations.
Through a comedy of errors, Georgia becomes the center of attention at the resort.
Meanwhile, her love interest, Sean, finds out about Georgia's diagnosis and that the doctor was wrong. Sean decides to go to the European resort to find Georgia and tell her the truth about her diagnosis and his feelings for her.
Queen Latifah was nominated for a NAACP Image Award and Black Movie Award for her outstanding performance in "Last Holiday" as Georgia Byrd.
