Blueboy Harris and Dave Green are barely making it as waiters. So they decide to get into the numbers racket which turns out to be the financial jackpot that they had envisioned. The only problem is that the successful operation is now attracting the attention of a white crime boss.

•  Raymond St. Jacques not only stars in "Book of Numbers", he also directed the film.  This is the only movie that Raymond St. Jacques ever directed.

• Philip Michael Thomas became famous in the eighties for his role in the TV series, "Miami Vice." However, he starred in a number of blaxploitation movies and other films before doing television. This movie, "Book of Numbers" was his third movie role and was the very beginning of his career.

• Singer and Actress Freda Payne made her acting debut in "Book of Numbers."
