Six Times Tougher than Shaft! Six Times Rougher than Superfly!
"The Black Six" was unlike any other blaxploitation movie made during the 1970s because it stars six
professional Black football players. They are: Gene Washington (San Francisco 49ers), "Mean" Joe Greene
(Pittsburgh Steelers), Willie Lanier (Kansas City Chiefs), Lem Barney (Detroit Lions), Mercury Morris
(Miami Dolphins) and Carl Eller (Minnesota Vikings). They are six buddies who hit the high road on their
motorcycles to live carefree lives.
When "The Black Six" eventually return home, they find out that life in the old neighborhood is even worse than when
they left. Bubba (Gene Washington) comes home to find out that his younger brother, Eddie, has been murdered by
some racists because he was dating a white girl.
Finally, it's time for revenge. "The Black Six" get on the job and it ain't pretty. |
