"Abby" is a horror film where Blaxploitation meets The Exorcist.

Unbeknownst to him, Bishop Williams (William Marshall) releases an evil spirit during an excavation in Nigeria. The spirit takes over the body of his daughter-in-law Abby (Carol Speed). When Abby starts behaving weirdly, her husband and father-in-law discover that she is demon-possessed.

How are they going to get rid of the demon controlling Abby?

• Because the storyline of "Abby" so closely resembled the storyline for "The Exorcist", the creators of "Abby" were sued by the creators of "The Exorcist." The movie was pulled from the theatres because of the lawsuit, so it was only shown in theatres for a short period of time. The "Abby" creators eventually won the lawsuit.

• William Marshall, who plays Bishop Williams in "Abby", is famous for his roles as Blacula in two other African American horror movies - "Blacula" and "Scream, Blacula, Scream."

• Because "Abby" resembled the movie "The Exorcist" many people called this movie "The Blaxorcist."
